Senator Saliu Mustapha Pledges Support for Darul-Uloom as Leaders Reflect on Trust and Education Daarul-Uluum Isalekoto, Ilorin Alumni Association hosted a book launch and awards ceremony honoring individuals for their contributions to the growth of Darul-Uloom, Isalekoto, Ilorin. This event held at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin, the event marks the 60th-anniversary celebration of Darul-Uloom, founded in 1963 under the guidance of Shaykh Adam Abdullahi Al-Ilory. The awardees included retired Grand Kadi Justice Salihu Olohuntoyin Muhammad, Engineer ‘Lanre Sagaya (Zana of Ilorin), Professor Badmas ‘Lanre Yusuf (former Dean, Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin), and Shaykh Muhammed Ghali Alaaya, among others. The book launched was named "Daarul Uluum in The Permanent Record Of History" was launched by personalities with huge amount of money showcasing how evitable the book is and to acknowledge the significant workdone of the Alumni Association. "OUR SCHOLARS".    WHO IS USTADH LUQMAN ISALEKOTO? He is Mukhtar Lukman Abiodun Isalekoto, he was born in the ancient city of Ilorin, in 1970s to the family of Sheikh Muhammed Busari Bin Muktar Isalekoto. His father was a prominent Islamic scholar in Ilorin. As such, Lukman can also be said to have followed the path of his predecessors. Lukman began his education under his father's watch at a very tender age, his father Sheik Muhammed Busari Bin Muktar thought him elementary Arabic and Islamic knowledge. Lukman was able to grasp quickly and as such he proceeded to Darul Uloom Isalekoto within 1990 to 1995. He furthered his Islamic education at the popular Markaz Taalim Arabyy in Agege, Lagos within 1995 and 1997. Being a child who comes from a pure Islamic Background, his father deemed it important for him to get the Islamic education first before obtaining any western education. I can still remember when I was in my Journalism Training School with my co Students, he was our lecture also our HOD. He teaches with passion to the full extent that a lay man can understand. He teaches to inculcate the best he can , he dedicated his time for us as well, not for money or commission. He always said "Journalism is a sacrifice".  These days in school, his class is always interesting and interactive, he  always give his word of advice to us, he stregthen us and motivate us.
