He is Mukhtar Lukman Abiodun Isalekoto, he was born in the ancient city of Ilorin, in 1970s to the family of Sheikh Muhammed Busari Bin Muktar Isalekoto. His father was a prominent Islamic scholar in Ilorin. As such, Lukman can also be said to have followed the path of his predecessors. Lukman began his education under his father's watch at a very tender age, his father Sheik Muhammed Busari Bin Muktar thought him elementary Arabic and Islamic knowledge. Lukman was able to grasp quickly and as such he proceeded to Darul Uloom Isalekoto within 1990 to 1995. He furthered his Islamic education at the popular Markaz Taalim Arabyy in Agege, Lagos within 1995 and 1997.
