Supreme Court Justice Is Meaningless In Nigeria

OPINION:
Supreme Court Justice Is Meaningless In Nigeria

By I.A OLALEKAN
"Where there's a will,they say, there's always a way."
In Nigeria, the above assertion works reversely.Nigeria is a country that is endowed with minerals and weather conditions.
Nigeria: a federalist  state with three working arms of government which include;the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. But out of the trio, judiciary arms of government is considered the most powerless and dependent arm of government. Eitherway, the arm of government that should be given absolute power is the judiciary arm, because, they are the voice of the voiceless citizens and the last hope of less privileged citizens.

Saying " supreme Court Justice is meaningless in Nigeria" is never a mistake nor talking out of ignorant, rather I have some standing evidence to back up the say.
Firstly, the supreme Court order the immediate release of IPOB leader,Nnamdi Kanu twice, but the federal government reverse the judgement.
Secondly,it's this same supreme Court that turned down electoral Constitution to favour the filling party. The court declared a candidate that didn't contest in primary election as the winner,in case of Machina and Ahmed lawan.
Furthermore;
Supreme Court suspends CBN deadline on old, new naira notes swap,Supreme Court on Wednesday 8th of February 2023,ordered a suspension of the deadline for the swapping of old to new Naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The Supreme Court issued an interim injunction restraining the Federal Government from suspending the acceptance of the old Naira notes on the Friday February 10, 2023 deadline.
This was as a result of the judgement in a case which some Northern states filled against the federal government, the states  include; Kaduna, zamfara and Kogi state on Naira notes scarcity.

Kaduna, Zamfara, and Kogi State on Monday,6th of February 2023, instituted a suit against the Federal Government at the Supreme Court over the scarcity of old and new Naira notes due to the CBN naira redesign policy.

Consequently, they are seeking a restraining order by the Supreme Court to compel the government and CBN from implementing the policy.

The expert lawyers of the state stated to  the Supreme Court to grant them an interim injunction stopping the Federal Government either by itself or acting through the CBN, the commercial banks or its agents from carrying out its plan of ending the timeframe within which the now older versions of the 200, 500 and 1000 denominations of the Naira may no longer be legal tender on February 10, 2023.

                 "is the Constitution
                          more
                   powerful   than
                     Government,
                               or
                  the government is
                      more powerful
                             than
                      Constitution??"

The states said there has been a shortage in the supply of the new naira notes in Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara States and that citizens who have dutifully deposited their old naira notes have increasingly found it difficult and sometimes next to impossible to access new naira notes to go about their daily activities.
The states said the CBN policy is imposing a lot of hardship on Nigerians and insisted that the ten-day extension by the Federal Government is still insufficient to address the challenges of Nigerians swapping their old Naira notes for new ones.
The supreme Court ordered the federal government to hold on, before the cancellation of the old notes.
And the case was adjourned to February 15.

It's somehow disheartened that the federal government and CBN after the judgment released another memo against federal government stating that the federal government is not going back on the deadline.

My question is that 'is the Constitution more powerful than government or the government is more powerful than Constitution???
