SHEIKH ABDULSALAM ISLAMIC DA'AWAH (SAID) PROPOSES FOR ORPHANAGE SCHOOL WITH ISLAMIC AND WESTERN EDUCATION

INTRODUCTION

PROBLEM

"SAID" Islamic organization have identified the challenges facing by orphan in the state through their annual programme designed to provide feeding and clothing support to few orphans randomly picked. The exercise shows that more than an average of the identified orphans are either not in school or out of school due to financial problem resulting from parental lost and most of their guidance are incapacitated. These orphans are mostly found playing or halking when their contemporaries are in the school learning. 

Schooling is believed to be concerned with embedding learners with the requisite skills for self and social advancement. As such, there are expectations from these orphans just like their contemporary at every stage of their lives. These expectations are consequent on laid down standard that the school curriculum have identified as being necessary for meaningfully integrating the learners into the society. But the reverse is what obtains considering the negligence of orphans.

 

THE PROPOSED SOLUTION:

The neglect of these orphans is a danger and threat to the future of their mate who are enrol in either western or Islamic school. Hence, our organization is proposing a standard and highly capacity orphanage home where learners will be equiped with Islamic, western and moral education needed to excell and secure a brighter future. These at the long run will benefit the orphans and the nation in the following aspects: 

👉🏽 Increasing the number of able and resourceful personnel 

👉🏽Reduction in the crime rate 

👉🏽Securing peaceful atmosphere for the next generation 

👉🏽 Instilling positive behaviour such as love, unity and generosity on the orphans.

VISION:

The vision of the project is to ensure that the orphans cared for and given opportunity to acquire to acquire the relevant skills and knowledge that will make them responsible, useful and self reliance 

TARGET POPULATION:

The children whose parents have died (orphans) suffering and struggling for survival and fall between the age of 4years to 18years 

GOALS:

~To inculcate in the beneficiaries the religion practice and moral standard 

~ To make the orphans proficient in reading and writing 

~ To equip them with the relevant skills and knowledge that will help them compete with their contemporaries 

~ To make them self reliance and prepare them for future challenges 

~ To produce leaders with 21st century skills and fear of God.

APPROACH:

The project will adopt a normal school approach but with Islamic and western education harmonized for effectiveness. Islamic class shall fall between 8am to  12pm while western class start by 12pm and end by 4pm. 

RESOURCES NEEDED:

The following resources will be needed for this project. 

1. 10 plots of land for building 

2. 15 blocks of classrooms 

3. Hostel  (30 rooms)

4. Teaching facilities 

5. Hostel facilities 

6. Arabic teachers 10

7. Western teachers 10

8. Non teaching staff 05

CONCLUSION:

The orphans our party of us, they are our collective responsibility and should be allowed to grow with us. A nation that ignore or neglect orphans is hindering the peace and security of her citizens and making the country unsecure for the next generation. The orphans if not nurtured and trained could turn kidnappers, bandit or other groups that are making our country unsafe/insecure.
